An open letter to visitors to the Minnesota Weapons Collectors Association website:

The Minnesota Weapons Collectors Association has been in operation since 1954 and is a membership organization. It is the largest and oldest firearms collectors group in the state of Minnesota and is dedicated to the preservation of legal and responsible firearms ownership through education & legislation.

The organization has always absolutely condemned all forms of violence, including violence committed with the use of any weapon. We steadfastly favor strict, consistent enforcement of firearms laws and the punishment of violators to the maximum permitted by applicable law.

The organization and its membership actively promotes gun safety measures of all kinds, including the Eddie Eagle program. This program, constructed for children K-6, teaches "Stop • Don't Touch • Leave the Area • Tell an Adult." Materials for this program, plus materials for youth through adulthood which cover firearms safety and training, are offered by the MWCA as well as the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. The materials are available at MWCA shows.

The security measures taken at our show include:

We have never tolerated anything less than complete compliance with firearms regulations!
